Management Team

Our management team has a wealth of experience in financial services and property management. We believe that in the evolving equity release market, the secret is to keep things simple, keep listening and provide the service and products, you our customer tell us you want.

	Duncan Young Chief Executive Officer Duncan has a wide range of financial services and property experience, as both a chief executive and consultant with a wide range of companies and organisations from large financial conglomerates through to small entrepreneurial organisations. The work has included strategy especially with regard to distribution and third party contracts; execution of acquisitions and disposals of businesses and asset portfolios; new ventures including equity raising; application of securitisation and insurance; and trade body liaison and regulation.
	Chris Rumsey Group Managing Director Chris is a chartered surveyor with over twenty years experience of dealing with property throughout the UK. He has extensive involvement with innovations in property finance and ownership during ten years as the chief executive of an FSA-regulated property fund management group. After leading a successful management-buy-out of that group he concentrated on his research into the potential for retirement-age individuals to gain more from their property ownership. In turn this led to the creation of Retirement Plus.
	Ian Pettifor Group Finance Director Ian has extensive experience of developing and implementing strategy; of business transformation and growth, and of acquiring and integrating businesses, all within highly-regulated financial services companies. Ian joined Milton Homes in July 2007 after a short period at Dawnay, Day. Prior to that, he spent 18 years with the Prudential-Bache group as Chief Financial Officer. Ian was registered as an FSA CF21 Investment Adviser from 1996 to May 2007. Ian supplements his financial services skills with property experience acquired whilst with Abbey National in 1988.
	Michelle Martinez Operations Director Michelle has over 25 years operational management, set up and implementation experience in a range of financial institutions. Michelle has worked for First Mortgage Securities, The Mortgage Corporation, Bradford & Bingley and Lloyds TSB. Most recently she was the Head of Credit & Risk at Rooftop Mortgages where she took the company through start up project management to launch and establishment as a key sector player.
	Fred Paton Head of Sales Fred has spent many years in the mortgage industry in a variety of management roles. He has had successful involvement with product design and development. Companies Fred has worked for include, Mortgage Express, SPML and the Royal Bank of Scotland. He was most recently the Senior Relationship Manager for a major equity release provider and had responsibility for the development of distribution and sales strategy.
	Alan Bannister Head of Marketing Alan is responsible for the strategic marketing of Retirement Plus and its equity release products. He has worked with a range of different agencies including Streets International, Charles Barker, Ogilvey & Mather and Seawert Bannister. Alan brings to the company his extensive experience of implementing corporate and product communications campaigns, together with an in-depth knowledge of brand development, advertising, PR and exhibitions.
